Defense and breakthrough don't do anything to CAS. CAS will engage in combat if you set them to ground support and a fight is ongoing. They will join the fight and do strength and org damage to enemy divisions. Early cas are kinda bad but the 1940 onward cas are really good. OP really. You can also set them to logistic strike and they will kill enemy trains and trucks, if you have enough cas in the sky on logistic strikes then you can cause the enemy to go out of supply which is also very powerful. It's so strong that I feel the game is won or lost in the air right now, especially in the mid 40s where cas can end up doing a lot more work than your infantry,

Aren't armored trains almost immune to logistic strikes? That's what I read somewhere. Also, I can't find a way to do logistical strikes anywhere in the game. Did they remove it? Also, I can't find armored train anywhere either.

I agree that air power is pretty op. They are op and when they are stacked, they become even more op, unlike the Navy. They are so versitle, allowing paratroopers, supply drops, air superiority bonus, dmg to divs, naval bombing and logistical strikes. As for navy, once you have dominance, there is really no point of building more ships. I guess more submarine is nice because it allows better convoy raiding.
Part of the NSB DLC.

Subs are nice for convoy raiding, low manpower, low resource requirement, low fuel requirement, tend not to suffer many casualties, and you get a lot of bang for your buck since they can wreak so much havoc even in small numbers.

I mean, ruling the skies means you rule the ground, this was very well understood by most generals in WW2, so it feels fair that it is so dominating in game as well
