"Unfair share of occupied territory"

I'm playing as Franco's Spain and want Paris for the achievement.

France is currently occupied by 3 members of the Axis: Me; Germany;and Italy.

Paris is occupied by the Germans but they wont give it to me because I have a -1000 opinion modifier because I have an "unfair share of occupied territory".

I'm assuming I need to give Germany some French territory but does anyone know how much land I will need to give away to get rid of the -1000 opinion?

Give away one province at a time. After each province, just check to see if it's gone. It doesnt matter who you give the land to, it's just that the AI feels you have too much land vs your current warscore

Justify war on France, join the Axis just a moment before you're going to invade them and don't put any troops at the border. Wait until Germany starts war with Belgium. Declare war on France.

In my try they even surrendered whole France to me without any negotiation because Germany didn't put a foot into france. Apparently nobody expected a Blitzkrieg from the south... probably it's been withouth historical AI, it's been some time ago, I guess France wasn't allied with the Brits, can't remember. Or did I join Axis after I declared war...?

Actually no. You just have to join axis, and after the war against France ask Germany to give you Paris, worked for me and it was good enough to get the achievement.

Something was off then. That's not officially how you get the achievement.

I tried twice with a rater bif army for the frontline and a couple motorised inf for the push to Paris, once I thought I'd got there first, as soon as I entered Paris France surrendered and most of France became German-occupied.

I googled a bit around, can't find anymore where I got the clue of just asking the Germans for Paris, but it worked.

HoI4 Wiki states for this achievement "Must control the state Ile de France. It doesn't matter if Germany has controlled it previously."

I got the achievement in the end. USA declared war on us (the Axis) and at the same time, Hitler thought it would be a good idea to attack the Soviets. We were going to lose the war eventually so I bit the bullet and decided to give away territory to Germany.

I gave away all of my African territoeries and all of Portugal. After that, Hitler gave me Paris!
