Trade Law help
What is the actual point of trade law....for instance free trade if im giving up 80 percent of my civilian factories...for 15 perccent contrution increase.....that seems wasteful for a large economy when i cacn build 10 buildings at once. but with the law im reduced to building 2 at once.....also what is the bonus to the increased exporting from my country........i dont see a benifit as of yet.

The trade law effects how many resouces you send out of your stockpile of resources. So if you have 100 Steel and you have the free trade law, then 80 of your steel would go to the world market. The thing is though is that just because you have 80 in the world market, doesn't mean people are actually trading for it. So you could only be trading 24 of your steel while the rest is idle and not making you any money/getting traded civilian factories.

So while the bonuses of having free trade are nice, it doesn't pay off if most of your resouces in the world market aren't being traded for.

Yes, your basically trading resources for factories. Plus you get a bonus to research (free trade is 10% I believe.
However, even if noone trades for your resources you still lose them, so keep relations high with the big countries so they buy from you

It's so funny to see Soviet Union switch to Free Trade when they are in the middle of a war with Allies AND Axis. No one buys from them and they throw away all their resources...

They aren´t throwing away anything. Your industry is abstracted to be creating products that are then exported to the whole world (that isn´t at war with you of course). You get a 10% research bonus if you put free trade, which is massive.

Sorry ifyou already understand this but just to be clear, free market DOES NOT mean that you trade civilian factories what you trade are resources. Cheers :)

might be, but if you are giving away 80% of all your stuff and most likely sending you into a deficit and have to trade for stuff yourself rather than using your own, I am not sure if it is worth it, though that all depends on what your plans are, if you are at war, free trade is a really stupid thing to have.
