Cool country conquest ideas?

I've been playing hoi4 for a while now and whilst very new i think i've grasped alot of the games aspects, But i never really have any ideas of what to do, Like i don't know what country i should play and what political ideology to go for. I had a nationalist spain playthrough where i took over portugal and then invaded france, launching naval invasions on marseille and areas around Brest, It was great fun until i hit 0 manpower :P

But anybody got ideas? The one thing i struggle to do is choose as there are so many countries and possibilities to choose from, I'd just like to know the best ones :p

I love playing as Greece, it's got a great defensive position were you can turtle up if anything goes sour and it's perfect for taking control of the balcans. You can go as any ideology but I prefer to go as fascist and try to recreate the byzantine empire

Play as a minor in SA and unite SA under a new faction and move on the west or east

(the names of the countries might be wrong, its been awhile since i've done some of these)

The really fun and werid one are

Vichy France- you would be suprised how much easier it is to defeat UK without France's
airforce. Also you can "liberate" quebec and lousiana.
Neo-Ottoman Empire- go for greece's iron and oil in the middle east and you can make a great tank army
Democratic China- sometimes its fun being the good guy
Facist UK- either befriend Germany and try to gain a huge colonial empire or take germany head on
Free america empire- manifest destiny! The american way must spread!
falangist mexico- take revenge on the USA!
Brazillain Empire- unite south america!
Communist Sweden- Liberate all of the scandanavian workers! Be a Viking and do naval invasians across europe!
Facist Ireland- take back northern ireland

I tried that out before, Just how did you get all the manpower :o after the civil war i only had about 7 divisions and almost no manpower, even with extensive conscription

Conquer the United States as Canada or Mexico. I found Canada to be way more fun because I liberated the Americans by forcing healthcare on those democratic scum.

was this on multiplayer? Italy shouldnt do that good and India doesnt liberate itself

this isnt really a werid or unique conquest idea but
USSR you could try to make as many nations as you can communist either by invading and puppeting, coups or just democratically
UK or USA try to remove facism and /or communism from the game
Germany- try to make every nation facist

go communist/fascist

wait until britain/germany attacks

when that happens boost up your conscription laws and make thousands of soldiers and destroy the filthy enemy

I gained all of britain, india, netherlands and denmark

oh I forgot to say after improving national spirit you get FOUR political power per turn, you can make many make many nations facist with that
