Running game on Intel HD 5500
Hi

I have small question - is it possible to run HoI IV on laptop with Intel HD 5500 video card? I have installed it, but when I try to run it, I got errors about missing files msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll. Adding them to game folder doesn't help.

Also want to run it on my laptop but Intel HD seems to cause problems with most newer games so that's probably it.

It's interesting as I can run Cities Skylines normally. So such game like HoI IV should also run on this configuration.

Some games simply don't support those older Intel cards, had the issue with a ton of games actually, that's why I'm gettin a new laptop now, mobile cards age double time than normal cards.

Yup, but Intel HD 5500 is not as old - I'm not sure, but it's still one of newest Intels.

Even if you find a way to run the game your CPU will be a real bottleeneck getting the game to run at any acceptable speeds. A 15W TDP APU just does not cut it i think.

Btw, those are MS C++ Runtime .dlls, you need to intal that (from the MS site) to get them to work.
Putting .dll somewhere rarely fixes problems.

Well, when I put them in game folder I didn't get error with them, but I still couldn't run gamebecause of "unknown error" this time :/

Just install the freaking C++ runtime...
There is a reason why MS packages these runtimes, they install correctly.
Most likely you put a 32 dll on a 64 bit system or the other way around.

The weird part is that steam should automatically install them, or ask you to do that.
