If you take the "Demand The Sudetenland" National Focus and the Czechs refuse to hand it over, declaring war on them causes a coup attempt by the democratic supporters in the Reich. They can either fail and do nothing, fail and kill Hitler, or kill Hitler and start a civil war. If Hitler is killed, you have to pick either Himmler or Goering to become the new Fuhrer.

Hitler's assassination event has nothing to do with demanding the studenland event. They are completely seporate triggers and events. It just happened to trigger when you declared war on czech.

Actually, they are very much related. Here's the trigger for the conspiration :

trigger = {
tag = GER
AND = {
CZE = { has_capitulated = no }
country_exists = CZE # Should only trigger if CZE hasn't fallen
}
has_war_with = CZE
has_war_with = FRA
has_war_with = ENG
has_country_flag = allies_support_czechs
}

So you need to be at war with the Czech, French and British AND the Allies must have supported the Czechs during the Sudentenland event. (10% chance with Historical Focus).
