How to trigger the Ljubljana awards

So I just finished the "Demand Slovenia" focus but I can't do the awards, so I wanted to know what exactly do I need to do to trigger them the first and second award(I have read the conditions but I don't quite get the part of "Yugoslavia must exist" and "Yugoslavia doesn't exist")

You can't get the next focus if you are at war with Yugoslavia or if they didn't agree to cede Slovenia. Are you in any of those situations?

Surprisingly enough, you can demand Slovenia even if you are at war with Yugoslavia, but nothing happens and you can't proceed to the next focus. It is probably something that the developers missed.

What happens is that once I demand Slovenia I only get the annex wargoal but other than that I did it once in peacetime and nothing happened

I've checked all outcomes, basically Demand Slovenia is to go to war, the first award break up Yugoslavia and the fate of Yugoslavia creates Croatia, basically if I understand I must be at war with them for the award and their fate

If you got the annex/conquer goal then they refused to give you Slovenia and now you have a reason to declare war. One of the conditions of the next focus is to own Slovenia, so you can't proceed anymore on that focus branch.

Also, there is litterally no way in hell they will give me Slovenia, they don't have it as an event

Don't know, if they don't have it as event, but in my games I managed to get it three times already...maybe it's depending on the amount of troops at the border, since I remember me having loads of soldiers there, ready for invading Yugoslavia, also Hungary and Italy have been in the Axis...there might be a combination of things which lead to them giving you Slovenia

I've checked the wiki and nothing happens, the last time I had troops there where around 40-50 troops of the axis

they actually do give you slovenia if you do it early enough and you can proceed to do the rest of the focuses which will let you eat up yugoslavia(Without war) or make puppets

not true it is very likely, last night i played a game with germany i invaded Netherlands in early 1938. conquered it all, i got sudetenland, slovenia, austria and memel without a fight.

for example i never got danzig yet, with poland i always go to war but i've seen people get it in youtube plays. it depends on how early you do it and i think it sort of has a connection to your military strenght. all above was done by 1939. when the polish war started

the order of how you play is up to you but if you want to test it out i went (regular/ironman/1936.)

took netherlands by 1938. for the rubber in the indonesia, rhineland first, anschluss without resistance, sudetenland, slovenia and memel. by the time i did danzig or war the polish refused and were guaranteed by France which joined allies. i declared on belgium and luxembourg (at the time i had around 80+ infantry divisions 20 motorized 12 panzer.

took poland in a month, left 24 divs defending maginot another 24 working on belgium, remaineder took czechoslovakia on which i declared on the way, shipped all of that back to the french front, italy joins axis, japan joins axis, took entire europe minus the baltic states and yugoslavia and southest (minimize front with ussr). launched naval invasion 5 infy to northwest port followed with 12panzer/12motorized divs under rommel - UK falls in 30 days; USA joins allies and it was mid 1940.

USSR declared on me and Japan a few month lates and was on the brink of defeat by March 1941. :)

Took the Raj and now working my way over to the US and Australia. Eurasia is evenly split 50/50 with japan beautifuly at the Ural mountains

Necro i know, but i'm having this problem with the tree, if i defeat yugoslavia and then only take slovenia in a peace deal and leave them be besides that will that fill the requirements?

then you can't. once you have declared war on yugoslavia it doesn't work anymore. The tooltip will tell you the same.
