Independent British Raj?
Im trying to no longer be a puppet of the UK as british raj... But I don't want to be their enemy.


It may be cheating but I found a console command "event britain.6" that triggers an event for just this occasion... only thing is it didnt work. For some reason I am STILL a puppet. What gives?

How can I gain Independence as British Raj and Why didnt the console command do anything?

Try "event britain.6 ENG". That event (if it's the correct one) needs to fire for britain not for you. Not sure though if that is still how to trigger events for other nations lol last time I cheated was in Eu3

After the National Indian Army is formed, UK will be able to search a national focus wich promises the independence of India. Unfortunally this rarelly happens, but I think its the only way to make Raj free.

Hate cheat commands.

Drasticly change your ideology. From democracy to nazi for example. In this case your country split, and you can conquer your territory again.
I do not know other way at this moment.

I went full fascist, I was offered military take over, lost most of my units but was able to defeat the Raj and now I'm Nationalist India.
Annoyingly I cannot get out of war with Idiots in South Africa New Zealand and Australia.
