Is it possible to trade a province/region, with another country?

No.

You can GIVE BACK a core to its owner (see "Manage Occupied Territories" tab), but you get nothing in exchange.

yes you can ,only with allies aslonge you are in war

also ive got alot of navalbases is it possible close them down?

A last Q :) I am playing as Denmark, and I like to know whether the ice around my country provides protection from naval invasions?

you can ask for occupied provinces or you can give them away,you can see option in the diplomatic screen....

i dont know if you can close them,click on the province u will see on the left side the window with the buildingslots and you see whats already build there,hover your mouse above on icon you should see a red X

i dont think that ice protects you
