Is there a console command to annex states?

I'm trying to fix some of the borders that were created after a war but can't figure out how to annex specific states. I've already tried the commands for state owner and province owner but they don't seem to change anything. Does anybody know how to annex states or if it is even possible?

Step 1: enter setowner " country tag" "state ID"

You have to do step 2 for every province within the state. Hope this helps

It doesn't work for me. The colour of the province chages and my country is listed and shown as the "owner" of the state, but the original country still has full control over the province and I can't build any factories.
Everytime I type in "setcontroller XXX YYY" it just says: "XXX now has control over TODO" instead of the state/province. So changing the owner works, but I cannot get control.

To be clear, province IDs are not the same as state IDs, it works perfectly, regards :)

Probably better off using the state transfer tool if you're not using ironman. I find the setowner commands are not very reliable.

I apologize, total noob. This used to be really easy in HOI3 (millionth time I have said that). I am trying to annex countries. The "setowner" and then "setcontroller" process generates the TODO error even if you go straight to "annex". I tried to find the state transfer tool, can find reams of info about it but cannot seem to figure out how to get it. ANY HELP IS VERY APPRECIATED!

Hello again, all. Well, I found a way that worked for me. Here is the step by step.
1) Open counsel (for me it is shift ~ as I understand it, it may be different for other keyboards)
2) in counsel, type "tdebug" without the quotation marks
3) this will create a long information window which tells you all about the province you are hovering over.
4) type "setowner (your three letter country code) then the state ID (this is in the large info window near the top. It is a two or three digit number)" Once again, no quotation marks.
type "setcontroller (your three letter country code) then the PROVINCE ID (this is the number at the top of the column of info about the province)" Again, no quotation marks.
5) You will have to repeat this for all the provinces in each of the states you want to change, but you can speed it up by using the up arrow to go back to the last command you typed so that all you need enter is the next province ID.

Here's what I do:
Follow the two steps above, but instead of having your country become the owner/controller, set it to a country that has been eliminated (ex. Ethiopia/Albania are often taken out early), then use the annex cheat to annex that country.

if you guys really want it just do nocb
Declare war on the country you want to take the states
if you know their country tag then type it in if you don't just do tdebug and look at it
deleteallunits (tag)
tp
pause and unpause really fast this will delete all troops
now that you have tp just take a handful of troops and spawn them on top of all the victory points and win the war with all war score.

Me too I can't seem to find a way to get around this.Has anyone discovered a fix yet?

It may be too late but what you do is

Step 1: click and highlight the state you want to own

Step 2: in console command menu type "Setowner <your country tag>"

Don't type in the state ID, that doesn't work anymore. You have to have the state selected (it will have the light yellow highlight on the borders), then press ~, then enter setowner <TAG>
