Defeating entrenchment
Any tips to defeating a well entrenched army, particularly if they're in mountains or the like? There's a fairly narrow border / front line so flanking isn't an option. They aren't land locked so I'm thinking of just mounting a naval invasion, but beforehand I thought I'd hunt for tips. I don't much care for long drawn out and protracted slogs, or the loss of arms that comes with it :)

Thanksly!

From above! And by using lots of anti- whatever they have in those provinces. Troops? Soft attack artillery. Tanks? Tank destroyers.

Lots of air support helps too.

Sounds like you are trying to invade France as Italy.

Some poor advice up top as all Tanks do very poorly attacking into mountainous terrain, instead use mountaineers supported by arty and engineer en mass.

Opening a new front via naval invasion is viable but if you are planning to force your way overland you will need air superiority via fighters and close support bonuses via CAS.
