I am not so sure if a repeat of the "Armageddon and Doomsday" expansions would be a good thing, what HoI4 is in more need of is to actully focus 99% on Ahistorical outcomes so that the replayability is thrown thru the roof, then they can start to think about expanding the techthre into the Cold War era.
Small chance? I already modded my research files to add research techs from 1950 to 1960. It takes hours to mod regarding what that research should "better", but it's easy to do once you get started.
You can even select if the AI can research the same techs, or not.
Small chance. Because a mod ≠ addon.
The only drawback, is you are making existing techs better, not creating new units or equipment. Of course, you could even do that if you wanted to, but then you would have to edit multiple tech files, as well as unit files to make that new equipment available. So it's more involved.
Already a mod for that :D
and how to a delete a mod i have made?
