Taking Poland end of 1936 without Allied intervention is possible

I took Poland by the end of 1936 by immediately spending 250 days to justify war for Danzig. As soon as I declared, UK immediately tried to negotiate with Poland by trying to send diplomats and improve relations, but I ended the war before anything could happen. I annexed everthing in Poland and went straight for war with the USSR, timing my declaration just 1 day after the Great Purge finishes. Just wanted to point out to people that it's possible to snag Poland for an early barbarossa while not going to war with Allies.

What is the world tension at after you took poland? I been thinking about that too but i prefer to go for NL for their rubber... You think both are possible before the allies can guarantee?

I don't think so. I took NL first, then went after Sweden for the Tungsten (at least, I think it's Tungsten). Unfortunately, GB and France guaranteed the moment I started justifying, and if Poland has a bigger tension score then I doubt it's possible (at least. not straight away)

I believe world tension went to 50% or so after I took Poland. You could maybe do both NL and Poland at same time, but you would have to be very quick. I wouldn't risk it. Make sure in the peace treaty with NL you get that rubber in Asia or it's not worth much. The thing is I barely took Poland in time by rushing with every single division I had available. It could have been an Allied guarentee at any day during the war.

Yeah, I doubt it's possible then. NL gives around 15/20% if I remember correctly (I could be wrong though) so you'd be waiting beyond Danzig or War, or else face the Allies early. Personally, I'd get NL first (for that lovely oil and rubber)

The most interesting part about taking Poland immediately without Allied intervention, is I have NO resistance at all after occupation.

That's a valid point, but I still think the resources are more than worth the resistance encountered in 1939 (or whenever you do invade Poland)

For this playthrough, my only purpose in taking Poland is to invade USSR. My goal is to defeat Soviets before Allies go to war. You could try to go through a Baltic ally, but even with anti communist pact that takes time and political points. Same with Romania.You really need Poland not just for the large front access, but for decent infrastructure and supply for reinforcing.

Okay I was wrong on my war tension.

1% to begin to Justify Wargoal for Danzig March 10th, 1936
11.5% Declared War on Poland November 11th, 1936
23.4% Peace Treaty with Poland December 8th, 1936

Note how quickly I took Poland. Speed is key to keep allies out.

With a few minor things, world tension was only ~35% after taking Poland end of 1936. However, it went to around 50% like I said a few months later with the conclusion of the Spannish Civil War.

That's still more than enough for the allies to guarentee everything in the universe, which leads to the NL Vs POL problem again. However, if, like you, you're going for early Barbarossa then it's a great idea

I personally go to France first, so I can get to the borders to spain. you can take Spain with 100% world tension(both rep and nat) withouth them joining the allies. same goes for hungray

I invaded USSR July 1937, took Moscow and Kiev as winter hit. It's now Spring of 1938, I've begun to push for Stalingrad and Leningrad. The Great Purge organization penalty makes everything very smooth.
