British obsession with planes?

Any talented modded please fix this! The UK is incredibly biased towards making planes.. like they have 130 military factories and almost 100 of then are making planes. They have more planes than all the other majors combined...

That's because they had a good navy (and those factories are shipyards) and they do not really need troops to defend, so they build/built planes.

It's also a response to German bombings.

The Battle of Britain went a long way to Britain keeping from invasion so i'd say planes and air superiority was pretty importnt to them historically...

But wouldn't you think having 15 THOUSAND planes compared to Germany fielding no more than 3 thousand a bit of an overkill?

Britain never gave me much of a challenge because of that. It lacks a proper army.

Anyways by default that makes a decent amount of sense for the UK to focus on air, but if they can't defend their land because of it that's a problem

Britain is a bit too easy because of this. THey heaviyl rely on expidiation forces and volenteers from other countires. Because of this they are easy to invade since mainland britain is often very lightly defended. Use paratroopers or somehow get a navel invasion and they are done.

SO yeah if their bombers are annoying. Secure your fronts, once your ground forces aren't fighting anymore just spam fighters, tons of fighters. Get air supority and bring in the paratroopers.

If you are really feeling bold, you can spam navel bombers. If you have a good enougth navy (unless you REALLY far into the game the odds of you making a better navy then britain are small. But a medium sized navy with moderen ships might work) you might be able to clear the channel for a navel invasion.

As a member of the Axis I had some though problems with britain because of that. I didn't had a Navy nowhere capable to face their Royal Navy guarding their surrounding seas and my air force was always crushed to pieces when I tried to have air superiority. It almost felt historical in the sense that I was giving up from Britain and moving against other opponents since they felt impervious, but what I did then was to create a 'fake' naval invasion through the English Channel with only crap divisions just to keep their navy busy while I did the real invasion through the North Sea. It worked. I managed to disembark some divisions and capture a port and them I was preparing myself to sustain a hellish counter-attack while trying to bring reinforcements... much to my surprise not only this counter-attack never came but I took the whole Britain very quickly and easily with just half of my army and no help from any other country at all (and I was Turkey!). It kinda spoiled the sense of achviement of invadiang UK with a mid-tier nation... it was like they not even had a standing army... there was no tank, motorized, numerous troops, no anything! Just crap infantry that I just roolled over easily...

Most of Britian's troops will be elsewhere on the map. After taking mainland Britian as Italy they still had almost 200 divisions left. Most were in British Raj and Africa. They will attempt to bring divisions home if you give them the time to, but it's never enough or fast enough. Once you land on England, it's GG for them. That's why they spam navies and airpower.

it isn't practical to have 15k planes when the enemy has 3k planes, and OP also stated that germany is gone.
it isn't a realistical when they are this impratical, so it won't resemble real life imo

I'm making a valid point. UK should make a lot of planes but they shouldn't neglect land army in favor of more level 1-2 fighters in late 1946 for crying out loud
