DESTROYING PORTS/FORTS
How do I do this? I have full control of the area, and I want to destroy ports/forts for strategic reasons. Where is the button? There should be the button, because it would make no sense otherwise....

I think it's strategic bombing. That goes after infrastructure, factories, and important things like forts.

Come on. Dynamite.
Might be a new feature in the future. Other paradox games have the raze feature.

exactly...I think razing is ULTRA important in any war....during wars all sorts of things are strategically razed...bridges...forts....bases...and so on...

would be nice if you could raze infrastructure and factories, would be usefull and they did it in real life too
why would you want to dismantle forts/ports? there's literally no downside in having them as they use their own build slot, so its not like they are stopping anything else being constructed

the reason you may want to dismantle ports is to stop enemy forces from getting supplies over to your island (or continent)

lets say germany has all of europe (not including britian) and dismantled every port in europe. it will make it extremely hard for the allies to do naval invasions into europe because they have to first take land. and then build ports there fast before their divisions get overran due to lack of supplies

through at the same time that can seem a bit cheaty. since 99% of the time you don't need all those damn ports all over the place (unless you are planning to be naval invading places alot where you might want them to help ship supplies out)

forts im not sure why you want to get rid of them. unless you have no plans on even holding that land to begin with

Well, you would think a game that boasts to be a grand strategy game in WW2 setting should have some sort of concept for scorched earth, a synonym nearly as prominent as blitzkrieg. But, alas...

You will have to do port strikes and stategic bombing before you take control of it. Or let them recapture it and bomb it.

Might work, but to my knowledge theres no way to destroy something in the game. Once you recapture it, it will show up as Damaged and will waste civ factories repairing it. Nuking it might work.
