However, my army was pretty much only a diversion, the troop threat came from marine invasions further south. My Marine/Mountain divisions kick serious ass in pretty much all kinds of terrain and essentially cut of the Brazillian army by capturing the provinces south of the Amazon which saved my slow northern army from having to do river battles.
Also then did invasions on their capital and it was GG.
Tbh in these scenarios I use Marines as much as possible to open up new beachheads but also because they tend to do much better on bad terrain (Mountains, jungles etc) than regular troops. I also control my marines manually.
I think that is a good idea. My 50 divisions struggled massivly in Peru due to the mountains and it was only a marine invasion on their capital that allow the war to conclude

I am going to guess you will have allot of 1s and 2s in your area. As soon as you capture an area (even when you are still invading) build infrastrcutures! Do not neglect your civilian factories. If you build enough of them (if you build 9 civilian factories) the first 8 are used to build something the next oneis for a different queue.... hte picture shows me starting to build military factories but look how many things i can build at a time now.
