So it says i have 460/298 needed for trade and supplies. Wtf is it using up so many extra convoys?

hover over your convoy icon in the top of the screen, wait a second or 2. and you have the info you are looking for.

Yeah. So what? Just because you HAVE 460 convoys, more than the needed amount, doesn't mean you are USING all 460 of them.

But I am. It says that I have zero I'm reserve. And I know about the mouse over. That's how I found out that I'm using way more than what's needed.

well its very simple.
If you have 0 convoys free you don't have enough convoy's to do what you want.
Something is eating up a lot of your conoys, so you have a lot of things using your convoys(like troop movement, leant-lease, trade etc). which will show up when you hover over it.
like....
- 460 convoys
- 260 used for troop movement
- 100 used for planned invasions
- 60 used for trade
- 0 availble.

Never realized how important convoys were until I started noticing that info and the fact I needed 1125 of them conduct daily operations for trade..
Need to figure out how many are needed to move an Army of 24 Divisions at once as well..
Meantime I just set my Docks to make 200 convoys are the pace of 2 per week :/

I'm not planning any invasion and No current lend-lease. I have all Of my trade covered. Everything in the mouse over menu shows a y/X showing what you have versus what you need. So once Y=X then you should start stockpiling. But in my game it's not. Everything that should be stockpiled is just added to the Y value of trade and supply. So obviously it's a bug. I was just wondering if anyone else experience it or knows how to fix it

Apologies to bump with my first post, but I'm having the same issue as the OP. Hovering over the convoy icon on the top bar shows I'm using zero convoys for Naval Invasion and Battle Plans, zero for Transferring Troops but 350 / 56 for Trade and Supply. Does anyone know if this issue was confirmed as a bug at some point? Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed any light on this!

I had this issue as well. Over 3k convoys, less than 2k in use, yet 0 availible.
Simply try saving/reloading. It seemed to trigger properly after doing that once or twice.

Have you thought this might just be a UI glitch and that you actually have free convoys? No one has said they tried using more after realizing the tooltoip was showing none.
Try to plan a naval invasion and see if you have the convoys for it

i did try using them for trade, or troop movements, whatever. Says i didnt have enough, so at least in my case, no. Not a UI glitch.

You have two choices.

Choice 1. Build a ton more convoys.
Choice 2. Stop moving your troops by sea/ocean. Over half of your convoys are being used for transport. Once you stop moving your troops around you will get more convoys.

Just a question, do you have any MOD running or vanilla version?
