How do you get rubber if you are in AXIS
Nobody is producing rubber in AXIS so I can't trade for that. Is producing rubber the only option for me?

Short of capturing territory with rubber in it, producing it really is the only option

Barely anyone makes rubber. Allies produce a lot, but I don't see it on the resource map where. I guess its default production and not tied to territory. So I guess synthetic refinery is my only option.

Most sources of rubber are over in Asia. For countries in Europe that means either importing it, holding territory, or producing it

My god really? It is so hard to see (not mentionig that you should know that from school, at least you are from murica, they dont really learn anything outside of they country) that UK, Holland and some other country produce rubber becouse they have colonys in southern Asia/Oceania

Synthetic factoires did tha magic for me (for rubber and oil, full self sufficient)

Step 1: Be Japan.
Step 2: Attack Dutch, Asian colonies before they join the allies.
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Rubber tires everywhere.

You can befriend the Netherlands as Germany. They have most of the rubber. This will upset Japan but it is an option.

You can get a significant amount of rubber from synthetic factories but it will probabbly take a lot of them to cover all of your needs.

If you are playing as Japan, then you will probably have to capture the Duch East Indies (Inodnesia). There is some available in other parts of Asia as well as others have said.

Use the resource map mode and scan around Asia.

You must be short bus special. Your argument about the States is so irrelevant. I play as Hungary, and there is no territory in close proximity to occupy. I do realize now where Netherland and Britain gets there rubber from, unfortunately I didn't check that side of the map as I have no capacity to expand that far. Anyway thanks for your constructive comment.

Hope Japan has a successful invasion of the Netherland's territory in the Eastern Theatre. Thats really the only option. Your not going to be making enough from Sythetic industry by 1941.

We beat the Soviet Union, the problem is Japan and Turkey are aligned with AXIS, but they still did not join the war between ALLIES and AXIS. Is there a way to influence this without playing as Germany?
Sohei Jun 12, 2016 @ 12:33pm
You could try to turn Netherlands into Fascists. This might be enough to get them on the Axis side if you do it early enough. Once tension is high and they join the Allies though, it is probably too late.

You might have some luck with turning some neutral Asian countries into fascists. Once they flip they will be easier to trade with even if thye don't join the faction. But trade convoys going halfway around the world are going to be vulnerable.

There is also a tiny spot of rubber in central Africa. If you are at war with the Allies anyways you might try to grab it for yourself. Or send a force over to Indonesia even if it is a long trip.

Before the war breaks out, trade some from brazil and any more you need from the Dutch, and mass produce fighters, motorised etc as fast as possible to generate a stockpile for the war. How many synthetic refineries you need to build varies from game to game, "around 10" is my rule for most games. Really depends on how competant the Axis AIs (especially Japan) are. If Japan stomp the chinese, demand french indo-china after france capitulates and occupy the allied malasian provinces, and if Italy take suez, then you should be able to trade all the rubber you like through the Med. Brazil produce a little and stay neutral unless USA goes heavy down the monroe doctorine focuses. The downside of Brazil is its not a lot and your convoys will be harassed.

Playing Germany, start with Rhineland option, use political power to start war claims at the same time vs Belgium and Netherlands. World tension is low so nobody is backing them.

Make sure you have both wars going at the same time because first peace conference will lift tension over 25% when UK will start guaranteeing them.

Take first conquest peace, take all territories, watch tension shoot up but since the second war is already on nobody can guarantee the last victim and tension should still be low enough that he cant just join alliance himself.

Second peace - take all territories. You now have Belgium, Netherlands, bunch of factories overseas holdings of Congo and most importantly some nice colonies in south china sea with hundreds of units of rubber and plenty of oil.

Also great place to make a fleet/aircraft base to really secure your rubber and screw over majority of the allied shipping when the war breaks out....

World tension is now probably 60 - 70 %, but you are not at war with anyone and you have all the materials needed for creating amazing war machine and ready made springboard for French campaign.
