This. You don't ask people to buy your things. They ask you to sell your things.
You can boost relations with nations and hire an advisor that makes trade deals with you more likely.
They are. Depending on what export laws you have, a percentage of all of your resource production will be sold off to anyone who asks and isn't hostile. (So you wouldn't trade with Germany as the UK once the war is on)
nut dont worry. if u have tons of a ressource, its a matter of time till they buy your stuff.
You can close your economy, but that will make you unable to export at all, and you may lose production speed and such.
I think its either to Anoy the Players or for Balancing reasons. ;P
Balancing, it just indirectly annoys players. :P
