Units won't move overseas.

I watched a let's play where the player just assigned divisions to a front and the units traveled from ethiopia to the Italian Serbia front via sea. When I try to do the same, my units just sit in Ethiopia despite being part of that front's army. Am I missing something?

Your units MUST be in a port region\city to give a command to move across the oceans. They can't be in say an inland California city and have them move to the philippines without first moving them to say San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco THEN moving them to the Philippines. I had that issue too until I saw somewhere in the game tell me that.
