playing via LAN doesn't work.
I'm trying to host a game in LAN, but it seems to be forced to do it via internet. And when I press the Button renew LAN I get the internet listed server.

Same here. Online it works fine but offline with a friend in a private Network it doesnt work. We wont find each other. In Test with HOI 3 we find each other and it works well so it doesnt seem that it is our fault.

You _ALWAYS_ Need to be online to play Multiplayer. Yes even if all you want to do is play on a LAN. The players need to authenticate with the master server every time a server goes up.

Once you're connected however, the connection will be strict LAN P2P, since the game doesn't use dedicated servers.

I'm finding this out the hard way right now: I tried to setup a game against myself. I wanted to play as the Soviets on my desktop and the Germans on my laptop right next to my monitor as a "multiplayer" LAN game, really just to configure the two superpowers for the first few years without either of them being screwed up the AI. Then I wanted to load the game into Single Player and play normally. Well, Steam won't let me login to my account on both system's simultaneously, so I can't get the laptop to join the desktop's multiplayer game. What a pain >_<.
