easy and ironman = no achievements?

can anybody give me please a feedback? Because I am not sure if my as ironman shown game give some archivments in steam... until now i have not anyone and i play on easy because of the boost for ironman. Save game said Ironman is on.

Not even sure what you are asking. Ironman means you can't savescum, that's all, difficulty level has nothing to do with it. No idea why you don't get achievements.

I have found this in the net:
Must be for archivments:

1) Ironman-mode
2) Earliest start date (1936)
3) normal or high difficulty
4) no unchanged checksum (no game changeing mods)
5) no broken/edited vanilla files

> means "ironman mode is on" is not = have the option to earn archivments in steam.
Can anybody confirm this (or maybe not) that difficult must be higher than easy?

It doesn't say anything about difficulty level. Didn't try it myself, though.

No idea, but I'm guessing you have to play atleast on Normal difficulty for achievements. Would be a bit stupid if you can just take the Easy route.

Confirmation on this would be nice. I'm playing Easy-Ironman until I figure out the GUI (which could take years..) but if I'm not going to get achievements I might as well bump it to Normal.

I'm 99% sure you need to be at Normal difficulty at least.

I did 2 different runs already:
1. Italy and joined the Axis - Did NOT recieve the Friend in Need achievement for Joining a Faction
2. Finland & created and joined my own Faction containing Norway, Sweeden, Denmark & Finland - Did NOT recieve the Northern Lights achievement for doing this, nor the achievement for Joining a Faction

#1 was done on Easy Ironman - CLOUD saves
#2 was done on Normal Ironman - CLOUD saves

Other relevant information:
- 0 mods subscribed to, installed or enabled
- Field Marshal pre-order level with all DLC (including music packs & soldier/tank packs) enabled


I have noticed some of my friends have unlocked achievements, so I know it's possible...only differences I could possibly see are:
- CLOUD saves rather than local?
- Field Marshal level with extra DLC installed and enabled

Looking at the achievements they are rather interesting, like nuking Denmark with Sweden, or researching all rocket techs with Poland. Nigh impossible to get more than a couple in a single playthrough regardless of difficulty.

Friend in Need and Northern Lights are the only 2 that immediately come to mind (because they are the 2 that I've earned but not gotten), both require a faction.

Paradox stated on their forums that easy will not qualify for achievements. There is no link between achievements and the version of the game purchased.

Aww crap, after 8 hours of battling and strateging against USA while playing Mexico I managed to get the area, but didn't get achievement. Guess you need to play medium at least to get it.

I play now on Medium-Ironman and achievements are unlocking.

You don't get achivements from playing on Easy!!

This being said, why do you care? set your own goals.. my goal in my secound playthrough was to take over North/Central America as Brazil and take over Argentina etc in the South while having a union with a few.. I am almost done with that!! will that show up in achivements? no.. and you know what why should I care?? (I did get tons of those silly achivements with France in first game)
