I guess you missed one of his posts - it's been deleted now - where he called Indians "'Thank you come again' people" whom he doesn't want to see more of. Maybe that flies under your radar as racism, but it certainly stands out in mine. I'm far from being an SJW, but sometimes, people need to understand there's a difference between being racist and asking a genuine question (or making fun of people/their accents/the way they speak English).

In any case, this discussion is only derailing the larger point of the thread, which was for me to connect with other Indians who play the game.

I just got HOI4.... I'm Indian.
Thinking of playing a French Campaign first, and then see if there's a mechanic for India to get independence... then try it out. haha

If you are playing as UK, these is an option to grant independence to India. Otherwise, you can engineer a coup in India as a fascist or communist but this is tough as you would have to declare war on UK (and Allies). Also played as France in one of the plays, captured half of Germany and then the Axis clobbered me, watch out for the Italian front ;-)

If you're playing France, I'd suggest you go either Fascist or Communist. That will make France much, much stronger. I'd also suggest you play Turkey or Iran - very interesting countries to play.
