[SPOILER] How to invade Iran as Poland?

I'm attempting to get the Voytek achievement, but I can't really figure out how to do it. Do I need to create my own faction, or it is enough that I don't join any other? How do I defeat Germany/Italy and how do I get all the way to Persia? Is there any proper strategy for this?

In my theory, you can just go with the Unqiue Polish tech tree, provided you have the Poland dlc. Then go for Romania, Turkey and Persia. It's better to ally with Germany while doing so as you will have to fight Britian (and France?) the moment you declare war on Turkey. (easy gameplay, medium achievement)

or you could ally the Soviet and walk through their land that way. Not only you get the achievement early, you will have a giant daddy to protect you, given that you might lose a bit of eastern lands to the Soviet due to an event, and have to fight Germany really early on. But at least Germany is not that strong in early game and the Soviet union always fight them to a stand still...which hopefully on your fortified Warsaw. (Medium-Hard gameplay, Easy achievement)

Other than that you could go with the Unique Poland techtree, but declare war on Persia while being neutral, then turn democracy and get into the Allies. Hardest part but..us the most interesting and do-able. (Hard difficulty)

Allying with either Germany or Soviet would indeed make it easier. However it seems as if I am not allowed to join any faction if I'm to get the achievement, and I will need to be at war with Italy while controlling Hamadan

Sure you can, you just have to remain non-aligned.

Curently you can exploit a bug. If you leave AI on Historical Focus and Anex Chechoslovakia before Germany can demand Sudetenland then germany will get stuck and won't work on any focus. Build up 50-75 good divisions and anex the Soviet Union (they are very likely to declare war on you themselves). After that go to war with Italy and Germany with the Allies (Great Britain is likely to want you in if you're fighting the axis with them).

If you're in the allies you might get a messege that you can't fabricate claims on Iran. Just save and reload and you can start fabricating a claim before unpausing.
