Not sure if they drop the same types of units in pre-designer style (i read different things)
Yes, once designed a few, the novelty wears off
MAYBE if the designs can be saved to be reloaded from game to game.
Of course it is not the same - you have to develop anti tank to make armour for example...
you could also revert to older versions of the game, but you'd have to go pretty far back if you wanted to undo MTG
--NO, at this time there exists no mod or option or work around to turn off the designers, only by unchecking the relevant DLCs: MTG, NSB and BBA or using suggestions already posted to ignore or mimimally work with them.
Even with DLC turned off, the subsequent patches have changed things, such as Avalanche patch sabatoging the icons and the 3d models of the aircraft, even with BBA turned off or not having it. And to get them back for the player, the designer is needed to manually switch out the models, but for the AI there will be only the default models seen.
Granted this game is in a state of flux with frequent patches and an active modding community so events are still unfolding.
found the toddler.
All the designers do is.... allow YOU to choose the design.....
Why do you hate having control of your own designs????
It adds unnecessary complexity to the game that is intimidating for players who don't have 1000+ hours clocked. Heck, I have almost 3000 hours and I sometimes forget that the tank and plane designers are a thing when it comes to upgrading equipment and making new variants. It does get somewhat hectic once the game starts jumping off and when the designer isn't the only thing you have to worry about.
