The new DLC By Blood Alone will probably be bad. First, let's be honest, all major nation focus trees should be vanilla and you shouldn't have to pay for the utter BS that is the vanilla Italy focus. Improved peacedeals should also be vanilla, but hey Paradox will make you pay what over 120+ dollars now on their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLCs that should be base game anyway. And not to mention the other two nations. SWITZERLAND AND ETHIOPIA. Switzerland, maybe. But Ethiopia??? What about Denmark and Norway, nations that were invaded by Germany DURING WW2, THE FOCUS OF THE GAME. Or what about Sweden, which was very influential and had to balance Axis and Allied influence. That would be a fun system. Or what may be by far the best example, FINLAND. Last DLC they gave Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania focus trees, but not Finland.

Will Paradox ever give the Nordics literally anything, or are they just a punching bag for the Soviets and Germans?

in nsb they released new paths for soviet for free and the railway overhaul. i expect something similar, the alt history paths will probably be dlc.

this is exactly the dlc i wanted them to make. ethiopia should be paid attention to because its relevant to the impact italy can have on the world situation immediately.

switzerland SHOULD be able to throw spanners into the works of everything too.

also within the game imo baltics and nordic regions just play the same role as iran and iraq. they're basically assistance minor countries.

paradox has already said when no step back came and Finland didn't get a tree that the Nordic countries will get a dlc together, as their countries are linked together quite heavily.

The only thing i care about is the air warfare and naval rework, especially im hoping they will de-arcade the air warfare. Make it so you can properly intercept airplanes and stop the whack a mole ♥♥♥♥.
This will probably be in the free update, so might skip this one.
But in reality Paradox always goes "oh we did this cool thing in the free update, buuuuuut you REALLY need the DLC to make the most of it, teehee!", so...

Stop lying, major focus trees have always been free, only wacky alt-history paths were in the DLC.

Both Italy's historical focuses and peace deal rework will be free. Every DLC comes with free features. NSB had free focuses for Poland and Soviets and supply system was free too. Stop whining.

I wouldn't be sure of that. The basic peace conference changes may be free but wouldn't surprise me if the option to take some of the conquered nations' navies would be part of the DLC.

it took 7 years and 5 DLC for italy to get a rework. the baltics such MINOR countries with NO GAME IMPACT get a rework. the balklands? yet also MINOR GAME IMPACT yet get huge focus tree's while italy gets old yellered in the back yard for 7 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years. my god so glad i wont be buying this DLC

Plane designer is the worst addition. The tank designer made tanks absolute garbage, to the point we need to get rebalancing mods to make them viable again in mult. Before even fixing tanks, they're adding even more designers that will need intensive rebalancing. Furthermore, air combat has absolutely zero reason to have an air designer. I know they're planning to redo some of the mechanics, but air combat is significantly less complex than both naval and land combat, even before their respective reworks.

Which means air combat SHOULD be getting made quite a bit more complex. Which I'd be in support for, if they could do it well.

First 10 focuses are gonna be focuses that remove negative maluses Italy will have at the start of the game! :)
The trains will not run in the time at the beginning of Italy game ;)

But it will be bigger focus tree definitely! And the historical version will be free, just allways. Alternate focus, like making New Roman empire are gonna be in DLC. That is how it normally works out,

Hope they flat out hide the DLC focuses if you don't have it then. Knowing Paradox they might highlight them to draw attention to them and if you try to pick one it opens up a popup with the steam page to buy the DLC.
