you can definitely run it with those specs, and i don't think performance would suffer much if at all?, but maybe someone else knows different, but you have the game, so you should already know that now, right?
yeah that processor compares very similar to mine and i have no problems running it, so should be fine

I bought all the parts and it being shipped just making sure i don't need to upgrade any more for a while and blow another hundreds dollars on a processor or graphic cards

HOI IV never "runs well" once you reach 1944 or so.

Generally, for HOI IV the main performance determinants are your hard disk (I assume an SSD at least) and your main memory amount and speed. The graphics card isn't stretched and the cpu is mostly concerned with single core speed.

Be honest, this is a 'show off my specs' thread.

Those specs are so far above recommended it's not funny, and you'd know that if you looked at the store page.

But then with those specs he would be on the low end of such threads. Nothing to show off really. Decent, but not overwhelming.

Sure should be fine graphics card makes little difference.. tho that is a pretty terrible bad card for most other games but yeah you will be fine with HOI.

I have a Intel core i5-4440 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 and it runs just fine. HOI4 really isnt a demanding game.

Why you running a new card with such an old CPU? You're never gonna get the best performance from said GPU.

Because my old card died. I dont have the money to replace the whole PC. Before I had the GTX 780 and the new card is only slightly more powerfull.

I could easily play HOI4 on my old laptop if i wanted. I did several years ago and worked with no problems back then. So yes, u would have no prob at all.

I have never had lag in this game even do i have played beyond 1960. Not on my laptop and not on my ordinary computer. If u have lag it`s often come from mods. And i have not seen threads in here about that subject either.
