There's also some alt history stuff going on for Germany and Japan but besides Monarchist Germany there really isn't much to those, some mods do it better in that case.
Those being sending airwing volunteers, manual trait assignment to general & marshalls, activate general abilities, send attaché (mostly irrelevant in singeplayer), more decision which include harvesting otherwise unobtainable resources or Japanese alt history (which imo are badly done).
If you would like to go alt-history Germany then i would recommend Deutschland Erwache 2 mod instead.
Personally i do consider the Chinese nations focus tree a big part of the DLC and without it i will be far more hesitant to recommend the DLC even on sale.

I know it is not just china like I saw you say before; what are the other features? is what I am trying to commuinicate which i thought I did very clearly. what do you get if you take out the china side of the dlc?
