How to raise war support?

i started a fight as facist argentina. its stuck at 60% but i need more than 60% to change my conscription laws.


essentially i cant do♥♥♥♥♥♥with decisions at all because they dont help me. how does this make the game fun? that i need war support that i simply cant get, because im not in a defensive war?

back in the days you could get manpower without it. now you can literally find yourself in a situation where you cant even raise your war support and thus get no manpower. Good job destroying things paradox.

war support is fine as a feature, but it should always be able to be raised. not this ♥♥♥♥

I always get it randomly from getting aces, and you can also use political power to do war propaganda.

only way for you to increase war support is to shoot down enemy bombers OR wait for one of the majors to initiate a war.
You won't be able to do war propaganda outright once you are above 50% war support but targetted propaganda still works against neighbours or majors who are in an offensive war.

but this IS the major war. im axis yugoslavia. i just cant go above 60%.

If you're not in an offensive war, you can use targeted war propanda against nations which have generated a lot of world tension (I think they have to be a different ideology, so the only likely can didate for fascists is the soviet union).

If you are in an offensive war, you get war support when enemy countries capitulate. You also get more war support over time anyway as it's affected by world tension.

world tension is at at 100% and im axis, i started the war. soviet union is dead, sweden, finland, everyone is dying on their side, i dont get ♥♥♥♥ support at all.


either you're wrong or this game is terribly bugged. i didnt get a single war support when soviet union capitulated.

im stuck at ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 40 and now im out of manpower, and im going to lose now, because i cant get more manpower.

killing people dont help, shooting down planes dont help. nothing helps but those decisions, but i cant MAKE any decisions.

Okay, so at 100% world tension you should be getting +30% war support, and you lose 20% for being in an offensive war. Which means your base war support must be 30%. Yugoslavia starts at 50%.

I'm mostly going on pre-release information on how war support works because I've never really found it a problem. I wondered if it might be affected by casualties, but I can't seem to replicate this in testing, and the strategic bombing loss is temporary so I have absolutely no idea how you managed to lose 20% war support.. unless you used the promises of peace decision, which was a very bad idea.

Bear in mind, part of the point of war support is speciifcally to prevent minor nations (specifcally fascist minors, which have always been a balance problem) from spamming huge armies and to make offensive wars more punishing.

no. im at 40% now because i used those factory conversion things. i did that on purpose to get down to 50% war support or below to use war propaganda. at the time i didnt know that i couldnt do it because i was in an offensive war.

so yea im at 40% but thats not really the issue here.

normally if i hadnt done that i would be at 60% but be it 40% or 60% doesnt change the point that i CANT raise it above 60% no matter what i do. and if i cant go above 60% then i cant get more manpower. thats the problem. the lack of a reliable way to get war support.

this game is raping me as a faction trying to win wars. i cant do the final push in to the US and the UK because of my lack of manpower that paradox refuses to give me. they have destroyed my game.

if this was a problem in multiplayer then change things there. dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ruin my opportunity to play facist argentina and rule the world by removing my chance to rule the world in single player games.

war support should not exist in single player. the fact one could take over the world as facist sweden was one of the reasons people would play the game, it gives replayability. now you can only play minor factions in the way they're historically supposed to.

if i could lose stability by getting war support id be fine with that. but this? this is not fair nor fun at all. that my manpower conscription laws are hidden behind war support is stupid. as is total mobilization.

My game right now consists of US and UK having africa but is shut down everywhere else.

Commitern is gone.


Axis rules the general world but because the Axis AI isnt too bright they wont do a naval invasion of UK or USA. Im supposed to start that, but i cant because if i do i die.


i die because my war support is not high enough to go beyond "extensive conscription". im only using 5% of my entire manpower right now and its now at 0. i cant reinforce my guys, at all.


so im at a stalemate in this overly fun game. axis dont do ♥♥♥♥, britan cant get to europe either due to garrisons at the borders. we're all just sitting here jerking each other off due to stupid AI which can be worked around by making me the heavy mover, but that was removed from my hands the moment i werent allowed to change conscription laws.


i have thousands of planes ive made i cant even put people in. thousands of equipment, everything in the hundreds of thousands that i cant give to anyone.


im just waiting right now to get nukes so i can drop some. i have no idea if that will help anything but hey its all i can do. im literally sitting here, watching nothing happening, just waiting for my nuclear bomb research tree to be over in a few years. thats all thats happening.

THIS is not fun. at all. it WAS fun before when i could get more manpower. now its not.


this game was great before, now Paradox ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up big time with this war support ♥♥♥♥.

It really is an incomplete mechanic, war support should increase each time you win wars or take new territory
