How to increase number of divisions my generals can command?

My US generals can command 24 divisions each while the Germans can command 70 a piece? How do I increase?

They are in garrison order so they have a cap of 72 divsions if you want to command more than 24 divisons get the expert commander trait so it raises to 30

Keep them capped for 24 division and slowly they get exp

The germans can have 72 because garrison order lets you have 72 divisions under a general, if you want to command a normal army with more divisions however, you need a trait.

I have another question-what do they mean by that a general can only command five armies? How do I create an army? Bunch a group of divisions together?

Field Marshall commands 5 (7 with skill) Generals.
General commands 24 (30 with skill) divisions.

That means a Field Marshall can command up to 210 divisions.
