No Democratic Russia focus?

I've only played a few hours of NSB so far and I'm not sure if I just overlooked it but I is there no option to restore democracy to Russia? I saw a focus about restoring democracy to the party but didnt think that was the same thing.

Anyone else know?

So far as I'm aware the lack of a democratic path is intentional.

What do you mean "restore democracy"? Russia was never democratic before WWII, it was monarchist then communist...

I believe in one of the last dev blog or feature trailer on youtube they mentioned they wanted to have demo russia but did not have the time to do it.

Yeesh, who cares if its not historically accurate? The whole point of the game is to have fun with "what ifs". Almost all the other major nations have democratic focuses so its just surprising Russia didnt have one as well.

What could it really add though? It would be like the democratic path or Germany, it probably wouldn’t do anything the monarchist path wouldn’t do better while also not having any style or fun to it. You would just be playing as pro America/Britain Russia.

Well, this DLC destroyed this concept for USSR (and, previously, for Bulgaria). Enter micromanaging single person's fears as it's a cheap RPG - and four factions' (which are completely unrelated to already-implemented factions-by-global-politics) expectations Stellaris-style.

Back on track, I remember I managed to get Democratic USSR in my session somehow after it did that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2nd Civil War focus. Unfortunately, I was struggling with learning Bulgaria that time so had no time to backtrack how it actually happened.

Goto political advisor selection, hover ur mouse on the democratic advisor and see what u need to do to meet the requirements (i forgot what u need to do)

To force democratic elections, add as many political advisors as you can that increase support for Democracy. Eventually you will get a pop-up decision to hold elections - read that pop-up carefully. However, since there really isn't a Democratic branch in the Focus tree, some of your focus tree selections might seem a little odd after you turn Democratic.

Actually, Russia was a democracy. When Nicholas II abdicated the throne, power passed into the hands of Kerensky. Then Russia became a republic, i.e. democracy. Later, the Bolsheviks overthrew Kerensky, and power passed to them.
