Hearts of Iron IV

Hearts of Iron IV

Why isn't Turkish language support added to this game?
Can you count your reasons? You are publishing a historical strategic game. This game is loved by Turks. We rule the Republic of Turkey, which is the legacy of the Ottoman Empire. Why does Paradox not bring Turkish language support to this game when there is so much love and demand from the Turks? Is there a political or other reason for this? As players, we think we have the right to know this. We do not want to add 3rd party language support to this game and pirate it.

dude i know english. But there are millions of people who do not speak English. In addition, while other languages are supported, why is Turkish, one of the most spoken languages in the world, absent? Turkish is the 5th most spoken language in the world.

Just because lots of people speak the language it does not mean that enough of those people actually buy enough games to warrant a translation.

Turkish is not the 5th most spoken language in the world, it is the 17th. That being said, it includes Polish language, which is the 43rd. So there's also that.

If you want to use a non-supported language in the game, you should look for a workshop mod that does that. Quick check shows there is one for Turkish, although I can't say how good it is or if it even works.

Did you actually look at the link. It is not based on games but the language that the users of steam set as their main language.

EDIT:
Here is a link to the actual steam DB.

Click on the language and it shows.

My friend, Turks do not choose Turkish as their language in order to avoid racism due to political issues. We are talking in a civilized way here, but in the game we come across people who see us in the middle-east and treat us differently.

You mentioned a good point my friend. While Poles speak 43rd language (I know it as 5th) why is there no 17th language?
I have Turkish language support. Don't know what's wrong with your version of the game.

If they're going to do the 17th most common language, shouldn't they do the 2nd most common first? It is also missing. And after that, shouldn't they do other languages more common than Turkish as well?

If they thought it was worth the expense of adding these languages, they would have done so. Until then you can accomplish the same thing with a mod. It's not the end of the world.

It's not nice to not have a language in the game. I'm sure you would enjoy the game more if it was your native language. Instead of defending me, you prefer to oppose me and with a ridiculous argument.

How much does it cost dude exactly? If an expense will arise, all Turkish players are ready to cover the Turkish translation costs of Paradox. There is no need for great care, use google translate if necessary.
