I have watched all the tutorials and have tried everything, yet I still lose to the Allies as Germany and can't even capitulate France. Whatever I do to try and get better at the game nothing works. I think it is my division template, because that is what I change the most often, but I tried just not changing my infantry template and still lose.

I forgot to put my game in english, sorry for that. But you should be able to have all the infos you need. You have much better strategies with Germany but since I made this tuto for a guy who asked me, this is a scenario when I invade Poland in 39 and go for the capitulation of the UK without declaring war on anyone before that.

light tank spam def works (all light tank runs work ffs) but aircraft spam is likely to work much better and is easier to fix if something goes wrong imo

I don't see the point to have more planes. I already have enough fighters to counter ennemy ones. Ground support gives a buff at a stat (soft attack, breakthrough ... ) but it will never be as effective compares to the main mecanics for armored divisions as long as it's not pierced (+50% more org damage and reduced org damage taken by 50%) and tanks have a really hight soft attack and breaktrough already. A lot of CAS or tacticals is mainly used to push on a all frontline with 40 width infantry (14/4 or 13/4 + 1 heavy tank) or simply because you will saturate the frontline so you will use your industry on planes. AND with a lot of light tanks you can make a lot of overruns. In the current meta for solo games, 40 width tanks are better on the offensive than anything else. If I use something else it's for strategy purposes. The only change I can make is to use medium tanks (at least one batalion on the 8 in the division or full medium) if I have to play against Germany.

just use 20 widths (10/0s) to hold the line. DO NOT use too many mils on guns, artillery, and support, they are meant to hold the line, not really push use ur mils on PLANES AND TANKS. do a bunch of fighters and close air support, and light tanks are fine i guess but i would rather do medium tanks as germany. If you're not sure what template to use just let me know. The companies you want to use on ur 20widths are engineers, signal, anti air (for piercing), support artillery, and i like doing motorized recon, its just better than calvary every way and at most you only need 1-3 military factories on motorized. Before you go to war, train your soldiers, and especially you're planes so you win the air war. Also if you do around maginot, push as FAST as you can, or the allies will get entrenchment (i learned the hard way sadly) Once you get a breakthrough, use your tanks to snake, get encirclements. Make sure to pin enemy units so they cant reinforce into the benelux (charge into the maginot if you see a bunch of french divs going to the benelux) Once belgium capitulates, france is extremely vulnerable in the north so take advantage, and snake with you're tanks and send ur infantry into france.
For britain, once you take out france, use some naval bombers and close air support and use them into the channel to destroy their navy. do some naval invade plans and once u get naval superiority you're divisions will attack them. Remember not to oversupply, and snake with you're tanks, they will have a lot of divisions fighting italy in africa too

If you are playing singleplayer you only need to spam 7/2 template with some support companies and build lots of fighters and few CAS planes. Green air wins battles for you there is no need for 40 width divisions in singleplayer the AI is bad so you will win with just 20 widths. focus more on Airforce and spam infantry 7/2 if your new to the game don't worry much about tanks and just forget about them. Tank divisions are expensive and for beating the AI you only need infantry and some planes. If you still want to do tanks make them 40 width so they are good on the attack infantry can be as low as 10 width if you just want them to hold the line. 2 width, 4 width, 8 width, 10 width, 16 width, 20 width, 40 width divisions are good for combat width. 30 width can be used but it's situational since you need 120 combat width for it to be effective and in most cases that means attacking enemy from multiple sides. You need to make CAS airwings of size 60, 120, 180, 240, 300, 600, 1200 planes because the number of air support planes that can join the battle depends on combat width but since it's singleplayer the AI will spam random width divisions so you can just do 100 airwing size cas planes. Green Air wins battles remember this also the AI will send a very large number of planes so you need to focus on fighter plane production and then do CAS planes you can do tactical bombers but other than range they are worse than naval bomber, CAS, strategic bomber in their role.

Necro aside, Germany is one of the easiest nations to play because you get so much industry you can win in every front you choose not to mention you can get better tanks faster than anyone else.

The only thing to do is make an effective tank template and that alone will carry you in every fight on the ground while even the basic fighter is enough to win against every other plane but on top of that the change to airframes from BBA means you can also rush for improved fighters and CAS from your second air focus as they use the same frame, while optional you can also rush for sub 3s in the sub manager but modifying your current sub 2s with the best engine and torpedoes is enough as you only need to get naval bombers over the English Channel to make the UK abandon it so you can invade them and capitulate them before USA joins.

The only thing to ever worry about is not puppeting or annexing British Malaya and the Dutch East Indies or else Japan will declare war on you which is dumb and outdated so instead you can change their governments to steal all their precious resources.

there is a way .... you can even win doing barbarossa while still at war with the allies if u want to immerse urself historically
