Mexico vs Colombia, can´take their capital

i lost a lot of menpower in my campaign trying to take colombia, they only have 9 divisions against my 23 division around them, so i lost equipment and manpower 234K, they only lost 30k manpower. Template 9inf, support art,engineers and recon

Well, you should probably try using 10inf in the future. Also, maybe try a naval invasion?

Exactly my thoughts, you can't Enemy at the Gates Stalingrad them, they don't equal Honduras or Panama. Think outside infantry tactics, try to build up some bombers or cas to support your infantry, then try to get naval support for an odd naval invasion so that they have to send some troops to contain your naval invasion, allowing your infantry to punch through.

thats exactly my problem with Colombia, i made a naval invasion, i hava bombers and cas support, instead of have a bonus for that u get a negative result of the battle, the last city to take from them is medellin but is imposible to take the city, i also send mountain infantery

Been a while since I played Mexico, but I am pretty sure by the time I have got to colombia, I have 40w 14+4 divisions, the naval invasion is a must. The heavy artillery on the focus tree helps too. I don't take the cavalry genius.

Perhaps we should change my theory and go with a heavy naval invasion? You might be able to get your units to grab capitals before they move in to defend.

i don´t know they are in their capital, i control the all the coasts of colombia, The country is divided in two and get the frontline stuck, i think i ll have to start a new game. Using the national focus to declare war to central america and southamerica is more eeasy to conquer them but their territories will have less industrial deevelopment. So i run for the way of Mexico Comunist for industry and balance of stability with the religious focuses but i have to wait to make the prepareations of war, maybe is that the reason that made colombia more stronger around 1940
