I don't really like to play on Elite because I do not like to be nerfed, I prefer to boost the countries I will face. But I did both already and with majors, most of the time, it's not that hard. But you have some scenarios that can be more complicated.
Plus you cheat despite those advantages. How old are you? Serious question, not mocking.
im just dont like the time that gets wasted in setup and dealing with the little things that are NOT micromanaging (so leaving up PPL, short focuses, decisions...)

The game is can be hard, but it really just depends how you're playing it. You're likely making it harder than it needs to be. Stop doing things that fail, and start rethinking it. If thinking is to much, then play a game that doesn't require thinking.
HOI4 isn't for everyone. that's why i got my training wheels haha
