WHY ALLIES AI SO STUPID ?

I just joined central powers faction as ottoman empire, german empire was fighting against soviet union on the eastern front. Everything was going great but all of a sudden France joined the comintern and capitulated whole german empire without a single shot. They just walked along their territory and one of our powerful ally just vanished when we were about to win. I know Germans taken by surprise but they still had time to defend themselves but never left the eastern front. I can't believe how much this ai is stupid and ruins the game.

I was just fighting in balkan and caucasian fronts. Well no one expects outstanding moves from ai but inability to protect your own country sounds awful.

It's to be expected for France to go socialist or join a communist faction later on, when they are ai-controlled. 50/50 in my games they do.

You guys are also right, i know i wasn't playing perfect... I had just joined war and only had 200k of army. But my point is; Where is the garrison divisions ? 1 Million soldiers they had and none of them are assigned to protect their homeland just in case ? Or they could retreat to save your homeland ? They had almost a month to retreat. I know ai was never perfect, it doesn't need to be but this is just game ruining.

You gotta learn to watch which country could flip and join a faction ;).This way you could have send troops there and create a defensive line while ai take some of thier troops to bring them on the new front.

His point is still valid though, the ai is retarded.

It is often better to not have any allies, as it is like having italy as ally but 10 times worse.

Well I hope in next patch they fixed Ai and perfomance, cause we really need start seeing some improvement. for how long they dont release any good patch?

All these DLC do is further break the AI, as the AI never seems to know how to use them. The AI is so hopelessly inept that the AI usually losses through grossly stupid mistakes rather than anything the player does. I don't think the AI is salvage with an update, it requires a complete do-over, something that I have never seen PDX do.

Yeah pdx in last years have become greedy and only look for the "easy" money, because of the core fan's they have.

So sad. I love hoi4, but A.i. looks like 2010.
