Why can't I see when countries justify war goals on me?

Like damn I feel dumb ass ♥♥♥♥ when my borders are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ empty and some random ass country declares war on me. I don't remember a focus where germany declares war on hungary but ight



edit: Playing as yugoslavia and had hungary puppeted and I had no warning that germany was preparing to go to war with my puppet

might sound stupid but if i remember you have to be in a faction with your puppet or anyone else to get the warning

That's incorrect.

You always get a warning at the top of the screen if a country is justifying on you regardless of being in a faction.

What you also need to be careful with is guarantees of independence which gives nations a casus beli against the aggressor.

Also, some countries get free wargoals as part of their national focus.

As is usual on this forum, the OP hasn't given enough information to figure out what is wrong but he does mention Hungary. If Hungary takes Austria Germany will frequently DOW Hungary for taking it.

You can also always check in a country's diplomacy tab who they have wargoals on.

however, if AI is doing a focus that gives them claims, there is no notification in some cases. For example, no notification if Soviets are doing 'demand eastern Poland' focus
