Nazi Imagery in video games ban lifted in Germany, do German HOI4 Players still have censored version?

Asking for a buddy of mine. The official post by paradox is from 2012 which is pre removed ban and i cant find any new statements from Paradox on that topic.

That is not the main reason why it remains removed.
The issue is that the game is "neutral" on the events in WW2 and thus could be rated as propaganda in Germany.
And german agencies and the government do not tread lightly on anything they deem only slightly aligned to the "political right wing".

Including it could spark a controversy and much negative attention in Germany.

Keep in mind that "Mein Kampf" was out of print not due to it being prohibited, but because the state owned the copyright to it and thus simply did not allow copies to be printed.
