How to win the Italo Ethiopian war?

I keep getting surrounded first in Somaliland and then in Eritrea and in an encircled position my army dies. How to win this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ war with Ethiopia as Italy? The game just throws you into it without giving you time to prepare.

That's because the invasion started in 1935 but the game starts in 1936.

Watch some youtube guide if guide how to win with Ethiopia even exists... Probably this game is not for you.

I know it starts in 1935 and I came to ask because there arent any guides on that. And the war needs to be won fast in order to be in time to fabricate on Yugoslavia.

Just hold defensive positions in the south and attack with divisions in the north by attacking from multiple angles. Its like a wheel once you start rolling you'll just step on them over and over until you reach their capital.

Grab the 3 victory points in the north. All you need is the northern divisions. Have the 5 divisions on the right attack the tile south of them. Have the others divisions attack the enemy divisions with the mountaineer unit. After that, just make you way around the river and grab the cities. Assign good commanders to those armies and use the planes in the nearby airbase to support the ground troops.

If you didn't understand any of that, I highly recommend you play a minor nation or a bigger nation that doesn't get involved in WW2 like Canada, Belgium, spain (pick nationalists in the civil war), etc. You can focus on learning the game.

Thank you. I was trying to attack from two sides.

Just be better than them (Don't constant attack as it makes your troops lose org and Strength)

or you can move some decent experienced units down from italy or north africa.
Be careful not to overload supply capacity. I find it easier to push in the south as you have better terrain, but mountain troops can push at weak points in the north.
you do of course have to hold until they get there...

Hey Mate, Attack from the north only, send backup if Needed and, of course, use your plane for air superiority !

you can send your entire army if you evenly divide them from north and south. then just battleplan to their capital. dont forget to use planes! (and to buy oil for them)

in the future you will want to use eithopia as a grinder to level up generals, but when you're new to the game it is best to just rush their capital
