Alex the Rambler is probably the most famous and well-regarded HOI4 player on YT.
DO NOTE this is without any expansions, just the base game. (Although the stuff added in expansions is stuff you don't interact with too much.)
Also note this video is slightly outdated, he doesn't cover occupation but it changed since this tutorial series released, however the change to occupation is extremely new-player-friendly since the game handles most of the stuff automatically.

Here's a video explaining the updated occupation mechanics. Just select a garrison template (I like the "Big Chungus" maxed out Cavalry template with military police) and occupation law and you're done.
I also suggest playing Germany for new players. Italy is also ok but you have to worry about Africa (So multiple fronts. Germany also has multiple fronts but it's not across different continents) and manage your navy (Something I find hard) vs the British Navy who easily outgun you. Germany also has stronger industry and build up at the beginning while Italy is considered possibly the weakest Major Power in the game. (It's hard to tell. Japan has to deal with a ton of stuff too like the war in China but they're spared the wrath of the Allies for a considerable length of time, at least until Germany is taken care of.)
i dont know about that, i just want to know *THE BASICS* of the game, i have no idea about nothing, so there is no point trying to teach me some end game mechanics
Edit: also he is just blazing trough the menus + there are many cuts so i dont even know what he's doing
I bought this game 2 hours ago!
i dont rly know. i tried to play and did some things but for example when i try to train soldiers they are not training, and it says that they dont have enough equippment, while im producing rifles for them and have these factories and all resources are above 0
i setup to pruduce and train them at start of the game and after 2 years no new soldiers were made (i also choose the policy to get peoples into military and have human resources)
