Hitler and Göbbels held some of the most malign, despicable speeches recorded. The damage they made Germany inflict on the world (and Germany itself) is the only thing "epic", in a catastrophically evil way.
yes now go play the most accurate simulator of this catastrophic epicness, clearly to you, unlike the rest of us, this is a serious study of human suffering..sigh at peoples moral wankery today

imo they shouldnt have any speech voicings
allied speeches are ridiculous enough, why would i want to listen to a speech nonstop?

It contains Axis speeches aswell. I never read dev diaries and such because I always play modded, as in I didn't hear of any speeches being added, but I didn't know that pdx prefers one genocidal dictator over another.
True, but you refered to the real events as epic and he stated his opinion on the real events so why does it matter if it's just a game?
Yeah, but this game is no history class, it is for entertainment purposes, as most games (with notable exceptions like Assassins Creed, offering much historical info on buildings, people, political factions and in recent titles a peaceful study mode solely learning).
So people wouldn't hear these speeches to learn from the past, but to arouse themselves.
It is ok to do so on speeches promoting freedom but on speeches promoting racial extermination and Nazi Ideology? Dude, no, just no.
It has nothing to do with "hiding" history, if you want to listen to Hitler Speeches, google it, you can find them, there is nothing hidden.
It has to do with not delivering nazis and wannabe-nazis a tool to live out their fantasy of being Hitler.
can you apply this logic to other games, such as GTA? or is glorification of violence, murder, hell even world wars completely fine, but some speech can be dangerous for some players to roleplay in? it seems to me you're gonna have a difficult time navigating with that logic in the realm of entertainment. do you never play hoi as germany, or have you found a safe-way to play it or what, it's okay to play hitlerreich so long his speeches arent in it? like where do you even draw the line? yeah good luck. enjoy your already censored entertainment
as mentioned before i oppose these historical speeches in hoi, there are some mods that have them and i found them only to be in the way of immersion rather then adding to it
Yeah, because you're treating over a border there. All the stuff you mentioned is only virtual, pixels. If they kill each other or you do, don't mind.
But these speeches are real. That is the difference, they were spoken by real people and case of the nazi speeches, real nazis.
They shouldn't be played for entertainment purposes, as we all know, what the nazis advocated for.
you are left to trolling because you have dug yourself so deep in inconsistencies, all this because you wanted to signal your good morals, it makes you feel better than others
a speech from 1940s is today just bits on a harddrive, the people are dead, at what bitrate is it dangerous? at what resolution is it photorealistic enough? when does it come alive, according to you? this all becomes so abstract and nitty picky because your logic failed
you can kill all you want in games, but if you do it as germans in hoi4 things get problematic and its no longer considered entertainment, roger
