This is driving me nuts! Missing equipment production, but what?!

I have posted this question before and while mostly well meaning I got a lot of replies but no direct answer to my question(s).

1. How do I find out whats missing?

2. When I hover over the popup box it says quote "You have logistics requests that require equipment which is currently not being produced". If I click on it I got to the production screen and not the logistics screen as I would have expected. Does this mean I am not producing something? Like I need to add another Item to the production queue? Or is it suggesting only that I am not producing enough of something?

3. The logistics screen does not indicate I have a need for something that is not covered.

4. This pops up all a sudden with me not making any changes to division templates or anything else. What gives?

What gets me about this is I should just be able to hover over the pop up and read "you are not producing enough X" or "start prodicing Y" but no.

So anybody know?

When the Logistics screen says e.g. "+13k Infantry Equipment", then that means you have 13,000 of all types of infantry equipment. When the Production screen says something like "3,000 Infantry Equipment needed to upgrade troops", then it needs 3,000 to upgrade everyone with what the equipment line is producing, i.e. the latest model.

In the Logistics tab, one can click on the lines to show a more detailed breakdown of all the different types of equipment one owns.

What does it say is not being produced?

Does it say extra information if one holds the cursor there longer?

just ignore it, as long as you're not in the red in stockpile/production

1. Hover your cursor over the red wrench icon on the top, it should show a tooltip after a second or so telling you exactly, what kind of equipment is needed, that you're not producing.

2. When you click on that the game basically acts on the assumption, that you've done, what we told you for 1. so you can then order the production of the missing equipment in the production screen.

3. Afaik the Logistics screen shows the numbers only for equipment, that exist in your army. So e.g. if you have a division requiring medium tanks, because maybe you've changed your Armor Template, but you havent produced medium tanks yet, they don't show up there. But I'm not sure on that one in all honesty.

4. Hmm, only possible explanation comes to my mind: The Factories, that produced that piece of equipment, were either damaged (by fighting or strategic bombing) or were conquered, so maybe all factories assigned to that piece of equipment stopped production and that caused that message to appear. Which country are you playing and against which enemies are you fighting?

4. You may have ran out of captured equipment

Do you have an operation being planned that requires transport planes?

Do you have a lend-lease in place that you are not producing the equipment for?

As Imhotep's screenshot shows if it is division or garrison requirements then it will say so those are the only two other things I can think of.

Look I'll answer the question it is this one of your units has a template that uses a piece of equipment that you are currently not producing.

Most of the time that this happens to me I have volunteer units that are in my army and a lot of times they have anti-tank guns and I don't produce anti-tank guns if I have some that I captured then I'm not using them so when they get down to zero I'll get that stupid pop-up telling me that I'm not producing a certain piece of equipment then I got to figure out what it is and for me usually it's anti-tank guns because the AI likes to include anti-tank guns in their templates.

Then again you could choose to change one of your templates but one of your units is using out in the field and add a piece of equipment and forget to actually start making it.

Also I guess you could be rewarded with a certain unit via a focus. That new unit that you got from your focus could also have an unusual template with a piece of equipment that you are not currently producing.

99% sure this is not the case.
I have been ticking along nicely with no issues till suddenly this appears. No changes to templates made. No new units in production.

Even if that were the case where does it tell me whats missing which is my most pressing question.

Sorry I forgot about the Lend-lease stuff in that case you promised to lend a country a certain piece of equipment and now you're not producing it.

Well i was lend leasing the old planes i had.. and the supply has dried up!

Sometimes I will change my template but still have some oddball unit out there on an island guarding with a piece of equipment that it needs that I don't have or even are making and I will get that message.
