Alternate History and Historical Mods

I want to make a historical or alternate history mod but it feels like they have all been done. Do you have any ideas?

Epically mix things up with wacky-alt history like if the other side won WWI/WWII.

Honestly the real question you have to answer is where do you want to start? What's the point of divergence? Did Hitler get stopped in ~1933? Did Stalin never rise to power? Every US election provides a very direct and obvious alt-history path as well.

If you want to go further back, find a historical event and roll with it.
Napoleon gets exiled to America. Or maybe the South wins the civil war. The UK has some crisis and states break away. Literally anything goes with South America/Africa/Most of Asia.

Ok, also Napoleon said he was going to go to America after he lost Waterloo but then decided to consult the British instead so it is possible I guess.

Make one where Trump wins the 2020 election where he burns down the capitol and make a focus tree that has branches for dealing with North Korea and China and more civil wars and he becomes Kaiser of America
