Hearts of Iron 4 HoI4 won't launch on steam fix

I just wanted to share this information for anyone having issues starting Hearts of Iron 4 after linking Paradox to Steam on their latest launch HoI4. If the issue is the splash screen where you set up Mods and DLC never populates after you click play on steam, this is the solution.

The issue isn't file integrity or redist. files and a clean install won't fix it. It's the new Paradox launcher. The steps to fix it are as follows.

-Go to library
-Right click on HoI 4
-Click browse local files under the manage tab
-Scroll to - launcher-installer-windows.msi
-Double click and run it
-Click next then remove and finish going through the process
-Run the installer again
-Reinstall the launcher
-You may or may not need to restart steam

I spent an hour or two looking through forums, videos, verified file integrity, did two re-installs of the game, unsubscribed to all mods, and disabled HID compliant devices.
