Superior firepower for me is the safe option to choose. For countrys i would think would that would most benefit USA, Britain, Italy, Maybe France if on the offensive and maybe Hungary mostly because if played by a player is always supported by the Germans and always has protection.
Now that i think about it Grand battle plan might be useful for countrys like Finland, Romania and Yugoslavia because most of there important wars involve surviving against a major. Might haft to try that soon to see.
It's easy to make infantry with armor, just add armored divisions to infantry templates. It's so effective it's banned in many MP games, the armor from the tanks applies to the entire division.
Heavy tanks move at the same speed as cavalry, super heavies move at the same speed as infantry. It's a perfectly viable option to pair a small number of tanks with a large number of infantry. In fact I made really effective mountaineer super heavy tank divisions. two super heavy tanks on a 40 width mountaineer division and artillery.
EDIT: Oh and as for what doctrine? Well since so much industry needs to be making tanks for these hybrid divisions, I'd go with mass assault, it works really well with armor supported infantry in general because the armor and infantry stacks can continuously reinforce in to combat and grind down defenses. The fact that you won't need as much artillery leaving more factories for tanks is just a bonus for mass assault.
