Other games with political sim elements?

I would like to play more games with ideology choice and id like it to be as complicated as possible in regards to making descisions within your government, anyone have any suggestions?

I think geo political games meet those criteria but those games are very rare. I can only gives 5 examples
1. Power & Revolution and everything sold by Eversim are buggy mess. If you think paradox dlc policy is bad, Power & Revolution yearly version is much worse than that.
2. Superpower 2. It is a very old game.
3. Realpolitik 2. It just came out this year (early access) and it is only a single player game.
4. Victoria 2. It is an old game.
5. Every games that are made by Kremlingames.

Addition:
In HOI 4 there are only two mods that have political simulator elements but it is not really that in-depth.
Millenium Dawn and Cold War: The Iron Curtain.

Thanks for your answer, i looked through the games and while realpolitik seemed really interesting based on first glance, the reviews are mixed, seems that people dont think its great in current state, since it is in early access i will keep a lookout for it.

Victoria 2 seems interesting.

Are Kremlingames serious? I looked at their game list along with their about page and at first glance it seemed more like memes to me tbh, id like some proper depth to it.

Yes i had seen those but they seem more like just a bunch of sliders and mostly text based, which i feel removes depth, is that how it is? (plus i am very into anarchism and communism so are those options?)

Democracy is not really about politics but much more about policies.

Victoria 2 is a very good game that aged okay. The graphics are fine. The performance okay. Only the multiplayer is a hassle as you need 3rd party software.

I like Democracy, but it is essentially a budget simulator. I tend to end up in an atheist high-tech green wellface police state, where the Gini coefficient is close to 0, but everyone has super high incomes. If I survive those first assasination attempts, but that is where the police come in ;)

Anyway, Democracy is almost only internal politics , foreign relations or even global politics are abstracts, at best, whereas in HOI4 it is the other way around.

Yes, serious. Every political and government policy matter but I don't think you like it because the graphic and the UI is really bad while the gameplay is just average.
Games created by Kremlingames is not meme games, they can't make a good graphic and UI games.

Paradox mentioned in their roadmap that they eventually want to change the politics ( ideology ) aspects of the game, so I suggest you use some mods right now, not that I know any, sorry :(
