Cant play multiplayer with a friend, invisible server and NO ID

Basically what it says in the title... We are trying to create a MP server (same version and no mods), but when I try to create the server... in the MP ID slot is just empty, and my friend can't find my server. He, on the other hand, can indeed create a server and share the ID with me with no problem.
Yes, I can join his server, but I have purchased all the DLCs and we want to play with them (that's why I bought them :P) and because I'm not the host we're forced to play without them. So the question is: do we have any way to fix the MP bug (I can give you more info if needed), is there any way he can give me the host of the game so we can play with the DLCs I bought, or is there any way of playing with them without being the host?

So far I've reinstaled the game, deleted HOI4 data in /documents/, added an exception in the firewall and antivirus (eset), verified integrity of local files...

Host a server, click on the steam account that is hosting click join game it will take you into the server.

Yeah, but I can't remember how exactly... I just remember I now have to launch the game directly and can't launch it through the launcher

try booting game with skipping launcher, worked for me (i also rebooted my pc)

Yeah! I got it fixed by moving it from drives
