German reich or German Empire?

so currently my plan as the Reich is to invade denmark and Sweden before 1939 so that when I go to civil war I have more than enough resources to build ships and tanks. But the guestion is should I stay with facist Germany or go to German Empire?

Personally, I would avoid war with Sweden and Denmark if you're going down the civil war route. There's a good chance that when the civil war starts, that most of mainland Germany will be given over to the Nazis (Territory is random when in Civil War), but the Nazis generally get Southern Germany during the split.

It's worth fighting the Civil War, then conquering East Europe and Scandawegia after that.

Monarchist Germany since Facist Germany gets an default generic focus tree once the civil war starts. So you you lose all the intresthing focuses.

What's the point of starting the civil war if you're not going to play as the military junta anyway?
