outdated equipment in production

hi all brand new to hoi4 just bought it in the sale and not really got a clue yet ive tried the wiki and you tube but cant find solution so in the reminder buttons at the top of the screen it says " outdated equipment in production" i click on it and then i have no clue what to do next please help and ty

outdated equipment means that you have researched better equipment but it isnt on your supply lines yet you need to go to production and find the equipment it's background should look different then click on it and choose the higher model

Mouse over also tells you what it is and it is quite normal to have outdated ships in production but rarely a good idea for land equipment and almost never for aircraft.

When you research certain things like guns and tanks the equipment you are already producing will become outdated

It says this for all the level 2 ships in French shipyards at 1936 even though there are no newer units researched at the start of the game (except the Dunkirk BC)

The outdated equipment in the queue will show grayish compared to the others.
Click it and the new version should be right at the top of the list.

If I hover over submarine 2 in production it says it’s outdated, there are no sub 3ks researched Jan ‘36. Same for the other hill types.
