Is the German Iron cross bad on it's own?
Is it? Without the swastika and a 1813 on it, is it bad? I've had one "Authority Figure" come up to me and tell me the german iron cross FROM PRUSSIA is bad because it has to do with the nazis. I can't put up a arguement because the jewish card gets flipped. I know what they did in WW2 but prussia isin't bad. Could someone anwser the question, Is the iron cross bad?

You lost the conversation because you let another person define the subject you were talking about. Defining the terms of any conversation is important. The Iron cross has nothing to do with Nazis, but, it does to someone who is politically sensitive and wishes to be seen in a positive light. This is the problem. Reading your history and seeing what is related, why it's related,or, how it isn't related; is really important. These are all different from bad/good/evil, which you should always reserve for the last thought, especially about history. Nothing in history comes down to one reason and be suspicious of anyones motivies for making you believe it that way.

That depends on your opinion. The swastika can be modded in btw.

ts completely fine really, whats the jewish argument?

iron cross is a german military decoration, has nothing to do with the nazis. just because the nazis used it (because the german empire did before them) doesn't mean it's a nazi emblem.

and if they say it is, educate them because prussia and the german empire used it before national socialism was even an idea.

Anybody ever come up to you and tell you to be your own authority figure and Think For Yourself?

True That.

Yes but I was "using" the prussian iron cross. In that case I reallly REALLY don't think its that bad.

That the nazis killed a few million jews while "wearing" the german iron cross.

That's what I try but I can't because people aren't that smart here. The teacher still just says it has to do with nazis and in that case I can't explain about prussia since it just pops back up that just because the nazis used it it's bad.

Except, I think about what I say and know that its going to be returned as a nazi thing.

Every single time I bring the iron cross up it always has to do with nazis. I always cringe at the ingnorance of people who can't bother looking up how it was used.

Thank you all.
FYI german veterans of WW2 can wear denazified Iron Crosses (without swastikas). So this argument is really pointless, because:
a) Iron Cross has NOTHING to do with nazis
b) even Iron Crosses from nazi era can be worn, but swastikas must be removed

Anyone who says Iron Cross is NAZI is just stupid.

It's quite impossible to think for yourself when you've been educated exactly how to think. Everything you think is from how you were educated in the first place, which is something YOU have no control over. When you get told to think for yourself you're really just being told to think like you've been taught to think.

It's also hard for people to believe something (like the iron cross) is a non-offensive item. Remember the victors write the history books. But when you are grown up and taught in one of those countries you are told that everything from Germany during WW2 is bad. I agree.

Tell your “authority figure” that the German Army uses the Iron Cross to this day

Well, it sounds like you stumbled onto the real redpill there. It's definitely not normal to have some other group dictate your symbols unless you are their slave. And no, no historical European symbol is bad. ONLY European people have to put up with bullcrap like that. No one would ever dare say that to any other race or ethnic group of people, and rightly so. I am against shaming a people for their history.

On a personal note, I would just avoid arguing with work bosses. They're often full of it in America too, Russiabro. Don't respect stupid status quos. Think for yourself. But at the same time the world is not free and you can't always speak freely to everyone because of the evil ones who rule presently.

Other note: there is no such thing as a "not see." That is a slur for Germanic people, and it was even extended into a racial slur for the same White men that stormed the beaches of Normandy. Now, anyone who even looks White can get called the N-word for Whites. The correct term for the party is National-Socialist--at least, for reasonable people.
